On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, faculty, administrators and staff of ASA - Australian Sports Academy, we welcome you. ASA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a provider of world class education and training, in fully accredited sport, recreation and fitness academic courses.
Are you interested in becoming a professional player in your chosen sport and want to work in the sports industry? ASA - Australian Sports Academy is now enrolling students for July 2010.
ASA offers Year 10, 11 and 12 students a two year training and education program, the aim being to discover further talent following a period of intensive sports training and coaching designed to improve every individual’s game as well as education on all aspects of the game.
The program offers students the following:
- High Performance Training
- Local and National Games
- Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in sport
- Certificate III in Sport Coaching
- Certificate IV in Sport Coaching or Sports Development or Sport and Recreation
- Australian Sports Commission Level 1 and 2 Coaching National Accreditation
- Australian Sports Commission Officiating National Accreditation
- Accredited First Aid Certificate Levels 1, 2 and 3
- Payed Work Experience.
The program is specifically designed to provide students with a tailored and targeted pathway to achieve their sports career, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to gain their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in sport.
If you, your student or players, your son, or daughter has the ability, talent, and desire to play the game professionally then the next two year at the Australian Sports Academy could prove to be the most important two-year of their life.
