VET in Schools
ASA - Australian Sports Academy will provide Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools. VET in schools is a Nationally Recognised Training program that is available to secondary school students as part of their school curriculum. During the school year, students can explore a career path by enrolling into one of our courses designed specifically for secondary school students. Students can study a VET course for a few hours a week and work towards completing a certificate level course.
ASA offers students quality training programs, career advice and the opportunity to enhance future career prospects.
ASA offers the following courses as part of the VET in Schools Program:
- SRS20306 Certificate II in Sport (Coaching)
- SRS30306 Certificate III in Sport (Coaching)
- SRO20106 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation
- SRO30106 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation
- SRS20406 Certificate II in Sport (Officiating)
- SRS30406 Certificate III in Sport (Officiating)
- SRS20206 Certificate II in Sport (Career-oriented participation)
- SRS30206 Certificate III in Sport (Career-oriented participation)
- SRF30206 Certificate III in Fitness
- SIT30607 Certificate III in Events
A VET course at ASA will provide the following benefits to students:
- Receive credit points towards QCE (QLD) and HSC (NSW)
- Develop practical skills that are industry specific
- Build the confidence to succeed in the workplace
- Receive credit points towards Diploma level study
- Earn an industry recognised qualification and obtain credit to assist with university entrance.
